You Can’t Handle the Truth

In a Time of Universal Deceit,

Telling the Truth is a Revolutionary Act

George Orwell

These are dark times, in which the propaganda of deceit touches all our lives. It is as if political reality has been privatized and illusion legitimized.

The sad reality of the day is that trust in most of our hallowed institutions has been broken and thought shaping by media propaganda has dumbed down much of the populace in our communities. Accessing information that is truthful, rather than “Fake News & Commentary” broadcast by mainstream media TV and radio outlets, is essential to inform civic governance and cultural cohesion.

In the midst of the dysfunction, an opportunity is born.

With the collapse of mainstream news integrity and the corporate media reliance on force-fed news outlets that control broadcasting in nearly all public places like airports, restaurants, and bars, truth seekers have few choices to obtain real news and commentary. So, we swim in a “sea of lies” and propaganda while relying on our personal devices to access the internet for truthful news and commentary.

But the rapid advance of internet enabled TV’s and hand-held devices offer opportunities to present real news in public places with a global reach and large audience. The public’s appetite for investigative reporting and commentary via mainstream media has been replaced with independent, internet enabled broadcasts. And it’s at the intersection of real news, truth, and commentary that RealNewsBrews emerged.
